Key Notes - TechFair 2007

Microsoft will be providing Key Note Presentations on the Auditorium Stage all day Saturday (10am - 2pm) and Sunday.

Blain Barton will be presenting on Saturday morning and JJ Antequino will finish off Saturday afternoon.

Russ Fustino will be presenting on Sunday morning (9am - 12noon) and JJ Antequino will also finish off Sunday afternoon.

Special thanks to Microsoft, Blain Barton, JJ Antequino,
and Russ Fustino for really going out of their way to come to TechFair!

Blain Barton

Blain Barton

Three words to describe Blain? Driven. Enthusiastic. Busy.

In his 14 years at Microsoft, Blain has organized and delivered a wide array of educational programs. He's given over 800 live events and received six top presenter awards the last couple of years.

Blain has also worked on Worldwide OEM System Engineering, headed up the Visual Basic support team and created the Microsoft Campus Connection program, which introduces college, university and technical students to emerging Microsoft technologies.

In his presentations, Blain’s sometimes known as "the wig guy," who gets his audiences personally involved in every demo or event. He plays the drums in his downtime and taught pro-level snow skiing in Washington State before he moved to Florida.

If he wasn't spreading the IT gospel, Blain says he'd build a recording studio and music label to help promote young artists. Given his track record, it's only a matter of time.

J. J. Antequino

J. J. AntequinoJ.J. holds a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL and an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. Prior to joining Microsoft, J.J. worked as a technician for a number of ISP’s as well as a segment of Dell’s user offerings.

Additionally, he owned a small business in Florida catering towards automobile enthusiasts.

Joining Microsoft January, 2000, J.J. spent the majority of his career specializing in Active Directory deployments as a Support Engineer with the Product Support Services organization.

In February, 2005, he joined the TS2 team as a Partner Technology Specialist presenting seminars geared toward small to medium sized businesses.

These seminars deliver cutting edge information on how to compete in the global marketplace and feature the latest Microsoft applications for improving information management in business. Upon entering the TS2 role, J.J. moved back to Orlando, FL where he's closer to family.

Russ Fustino.

Russ Fustino

Russ wisely shelved dreams of rock and roll stardom in order to share his vast knowledge with developers nationwide. Given that he can’t sing or play an instrument, we’re all very grateful.

Russ has more than 25 years of software development. He’s the creator of the Russ' Tool Shed developer seminar series and has donned his trademark suspenders, hardhat and tool belt in presentations for over 60,000 developers at 1,500 events.

Russ also has expertise in developing Visual Basic and Web-based solutions using Microsoft tools. Before joining Microsoft ten years ago, Russ worked as a VB instructor, headed up a development department, and created several client/server Russ Cartoonapplications and system software products.

His specialties include development with VB.NET, XML Web services, ASP.NET, XNA, Silverlight, Development Tools and debugging. But make no mistake – Russ is not all brains.

His big heart led him to establish Take a Swing at Cancer, Inc., a non-profit organization that holds softball and golf-based fundraisers to battle cancer. You have to know the code to get in the shed. KNOW THE CODE!
