Who We Are

The Central Florida Computer Society (CFCS) is a charitable, scientific and educational organization formed to encourage interest in the operation and development of computers, in general, for the benefit of the members of the Society and the general public.

Incorporated in February of 1982, we endeavor to facilitate the free exchange of information among those with an interest in computer science in the Central Florida area and support and encourage the teaching of computer techniques.

CFCS is Central Florida's largest PC user group, made up of close to 150 computer enthusiasts from novice to expert.
Our theme--Users Helping Users.

What We Do

We hold general meetings on the 3rd Sunday of each month. Location and details can be found on the home page. These gatherings feature computer-related presentations by software and hardware suppliers, as well as opportunities for members to exchange technical information of interest to all.

We also support numerous Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that meet at various times throughout each month. These include basic word processing, data base, and spreadsheet software programs, as well as specialized areas of interest covering graphics, financial investing, Internet, publishing, networking, and hardware maintenance. For information on meeting times and places of our SIGs, read the Special Interest Group Listings or The CFCS Newsletter our monthly newsletter.

Our Web site at CFCS.org offers a wealth of information about all aspects of our computer activities and listings of our Board of Directors, activities chairpersons, and SIG leaders. See our Contacts page for phone numbers and e-mail addresses of our leaders.
