Training Software by Cinema
Video Editing with Adobe's Premiere
Pro
The program at Sunday’s meeting of the Central Florida Computer Society
was a quick look at some of the software available today for use in reworking
pictures and digital photography.
A special demonstration of training software
made available by Software Cinema was very well received. The program was on
the use of some of the functions of Photoshop to solve specific problems that
exist in still photography. It was very well presented and had an interest even
for those who do not use Photoshop.
(Software
Cinema is proud to offer, for the VERY FIRST TIME, all active user group
members a SPECIAL 25% discount, good through July 31, 2004,
on ALL of our Photoshop training CD’s.

Following that was another demonstration
of software, but this time is was a video editing tutorial on Adobe’s Premiere
Pro editing system.
This high end editor is impressive in what it is capable
of accomplishing and everyone got an idea of what it must take to do professional
editing and maybe a bit about the “magic” used to make television
commercials.
Finally, a short demonstration of how to “put someone in a
picture” was shown. This particular element involved taking someone out
of an existing picture and putting them in a picture that was taken separately.
Most were impressed with the realism of the finished product as well as how easy
this can be accomplished with non-professional software such as Microsoft’s
Digital Image which was used in this case.
More use of digital photography and
video is pressing the need to learn and use software to enhance, modify and present
finished products in the best possible manner. It seemed as though everyone at
the meeting learned a bit about the “new” technology.
