January CFCS Meeting.

Dave WhittleWhittle's Picks

At The Society’s meeting last Sunday, Dave Whittles spent some excellent time with the membership explaining and demonstrating some really first class software!

First of all Dave is extremely well educated in the software he was demonstrating as well as very articulate and clear in his illustrations.

Dave took us through several of his offerings and gave some impressive demonstrations of what the programs are capable of.

Particularly impressive were the uses of software to connect a series of pictures into a panoramic view of some series of objects. He had a series of pictures taken by his teen aged son that the software connected exactly to produce a wide screen view of a particular park. Also, he had pictures in which it was possible to “move through” a series of pictures to tour from place to place and still staying with the panoramic view. That capability was impressive to say the least. The program was iSeeMedia– Formerly known as Photovista, Photovista Virtual Tour and/or Reality Studio.

Further Dave demonstrated a program called MUVEE that can take home videos and connect them together in a very impressive program. With that software there isn’t any excuse to leave those camcorder tapes in the box. Just put them in the computer and let MUVEE take over and adjust the tempo, view and add music to your videos. As a big plus the program takes still photos and incorporates them too!

No one left without being fully entertained and informed in the capabilities of the programs he offered.

Better yet, he had disks with him to sell at the meeting. Another really great program for The Society.
