A Demo of Tails

A Demo of Tails - with Hewie Poplock The June 8, Central Florida Computer Society Meeting will include a demo of Tails, an open-source operating system designed to leave as little trace as possible. It's an amnesiac system, which means it's completely fresh every time you boot up. There are no saved files, no new programs, and most importantly, it becomes a blank slate the moment you shut down. It's the digital equivalent of buying a new computer for a single session and tossing it into the river once you're done. It is a complete operating system designed to be used from a DVD, USB stick, or SD card independently of the computer's original operating system. It is Free Software and based on Debian GNU/Linux. It doesn’t store any data locally, which means users of TAILS are almost impossible to detect.

Why Android is a Winner

Sunday Meeting, May 11
Do you own an Android phone or know someDerek Walkerone who does? Well you are in luck, because on Sunday, May 11, at 2:45 pm at the Central Florida Computer Society Meeting, you will have a golden opportunity to find out everything you always wanted to know about Android and were too overwhelmed by iWorshippers to ask. erek Walker, a T mobile manager at Altamonte Mall, will speak on the subject of Android Phones at our May meeting.

The Samsung GalDerek Walkeraxy S5 is the latest, hottest Android, and the Samsung area rep will accompany him to show off the new phone, along with highlights of other Samsung products. Derek will also show a Power-Point presentation of other Android phones and products from many brands, with plenty of tips, tricks, app recommendations, and best practices. Derek is a knowledgeable, articulate speaker.

Even iWorshippers should find plenty to intrigue them, as they bristle in their subconscious that Apple had every idea first (Apple Legend has it that Eve gave an Apple to Adam as an anniversary present.) But SIRIously, it should be an interesting and informative meeting.
